Advertising with The Setonian

    Reach:
      * 10,000 students with disposable income!
      * Hundreds of faculty, staff and alumni!
      * South Orange residents - newspapers are delivered to downtown businesses in key locations!
      * Web site readers - the entire newspaper is available in PDF-format online for one week! 
    Deadline
      5 p.m. Monday prior to publication
    Policies
      * All ads must be accompanied by a valid insertion order.
      * All art must be camera ready. Ads designed by The Setonian are assessed a $30 fee.
      * The Setonian reserves the right to refuse any ad.
      * The Setonian does not accept inserts.
      * A single-page tear sheet will be sent along with an invoice for proof of publication unless otherwise requested.
      * The Setonian only accepts payment by check, money order or on-campus IDT. Checks should be made payable to "The Setonian." The Setonian does not have credit card capabilities.
      * All payment must be received within 30 days of publication. A late fee will be assessed after 30 days of non-payment.
      * Ads will not be placed until outstanding bills are settled.
      * The Setonian reserves the right to revise its advertising rates or any other condition set forth on this page.
    Publication Schedule 2007-08
      The Setonian is published every Thursday during the academic calendar excluding break periods.

      File types: JPEG, GIF, BMP, TIFF, PDF only
      Resolution: 300 dpi
      * The Setonian no longer accepts Word or Publisher documents due to Mac/PC compatability problems.

      1/2 page (horizontal) -- 9.937 x 6.7 inches

      * The Setonian also accepts 1 x 2 inch and 2 x 2-inch ads priced at $10 per column inch.
      How To Correctly Format an Ad for The Setonian

      1. Design your ad in any image editing program. Click File > New, and in the new image dialogue box, enter in the correct ad size in inches.  Also, make sure the resolution is set to at least 300 DPI.  If the resolution is lower, you will have poor reproduction.

      2. If you choose to use Microsoft Word or Publisher, you must export the document to an image file format (as listed above). 

      3. Attach the ad to an e-mail addressed to the Setonian-Advertising account (setonian-advertising@shu.edu).  We'll take care of the rest!
