There is no better way to demonstrate publicly that Seton Hall is “the home of higher education” than an expertly coordinated television commercial. Featuring Monsignor Robert Sheeran ’67, University president, first on the skylit Kozlowski Hall Atrium stairwell and then in front of the stained glass windows in Presidents Hall, the commercial presents Seton Hall as an institution that proudly combines state-of-the-art modernity with Catholic tradition. On Friday, April 22, the Office of the Provost will host the Provost’s Distinguished Lecture Series. This lecture series will consist of annual lectures and panel discussions by renowned scholars and experts from across the country and around the world. Members of the University community as well as the general public are invited to attend the 2 p.m. program in the Nursing Amphitheatre in Schwartz Hall. A reception will follow in the Nursing Lounge.
The spirit of goodwill and compassion was felt throughout the night at the 12th Annual Evening of Roses, which took place on Monday evening, April 4, at The Crystal Plaza in Livingston. More than 400 people attended the gala fundraiser dinner that benefits Seton Hall’s Sister Rose Thering Endowment for Jewish-Christian Studies, which was established in 1993 and named for Sister Rose Thering, O.P., Ph.D., professor emerita. Philanthropists Sylvia and David Steiner were honored at the gala as Humanitarians of the Year.
