Welcome to, a new and growing user's group . . . now known as ABbU -- Association of Blackboard Users.

Seton Hall University's Division of Information Technology has begun a grass roots movement to organize an independent forum and voice for educational institutions currently using Blackboard* products.

The independent Blackboard User's Group for Universities and Colleges,, has been established to allow its members a gathering place to share solutions and experiences in their use of the Blackboard products. can also serve as a way to present user needs and escalate issues to Blackboard in a unified voice.

To support the goal of, this website will offer the following features:

Membership Form - You can apply for membership to IBUGUnC by completing the on-line form. Membership allows access to a Membership Directory and Reference Library.

Membership Directory - With your permission, the Membership Directory will allow members the ability to search and match institutional and Blackboard profiles, to better compare issues and solutions. This feature is restricted to IBUGUnC members only.

Reference Library - A central resource of documents developed by members for members, to better utilize Blackboard in areas such as teaching strategies, community development, and assessment. Additional categories include technical solutions or tips, training material and groundbreaking news. This feature is restricted to IBUGUnC members only.
